Ole! Join us as we bring some Spanish flair to Bristol with a fascinating masterclass on superb Sherry.
There has never been a better time to enjoy sherry in the UK, so come and learn about the different styles and how they are produced, where sherry comes from, how versatile it can be with food and a little of its fascinating history (including the direct local connection with Bristol) in a relaxed but informative way.
With a fantastically broad range of flavours and styles ranging from the driest wines in the world (manzanilla) to one of the sweetest (PX), we can't wait to share a taste of top-notch sherry with you, each served alongside a small tapas to show you how the two really are the perfect marriage.
Seen by many as 'Aunties Christmas Tipple', sherry is one of the most underrated and misunderstood wines in the world. However, Sherry is becoming increasingly fashionable in the UK thanks to a recent explosion of Tapas bars opening, some high profile help from the likes of Heston Blumenthal (who highly rates their food matching potential), the availability of cheap flights to Spain and not least of all - the rise in quality and diversity of Sherry available here.
You'll get top tips as you go on everything from buying to food matching, and can rest assured that you'll be part of a small, relaxed and sociable group (maximum 14), where questions are welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
