Wine Tasting Bristol | Port - with Cheese & Chocolate

Join us for a relaxed but informative tutored tasting of delicious fine port, each paired with chocolate, and artisan cheese.

We'll introduce you to port's key styles and deliver essential tips on how to taste like the professionals, how to assess quality, how to find value, what to buy, when to keep and when to drink each style, and what to eat alongside them.

You'll sample a spectrum of styles, each paired with a delicious artisan cheese or chocolate - from wonderfully fresh and fruity white port - to the more traditional styles of tawny, reserve, LBV and beautifully mature vintage

Along the way, we'll take a look at port's home, the breathtaking Douro valley in Portugal. We'll also learn how each style of port is made and discover how some producers are introducing this traditional tipple to the modern market. You'll also learn some of the fascinating history behind one of the world's most famous fortified wines in an accessible and approachable way.

This course will prove that although many people in the UK think of it only as a Christmas tipple, port, in its fabulous variety of styles is diverse and perennial - especially when paired with the right food!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a very popular event and places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

"Port, cheese and chocolate. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Excellent and affordable recommendations as to what to buy. Will definitely be back. Buy an experience for friends or family but make sure they take you!" Sue Yilmaz
