We invite you to discover the innovation, quality and diversity to be found in the historic wine producing countries of Spain & Portugal by tasting a selection of delicious and diverse white, red and fortified wines in a small and friendly group.

In this fascinating hands-on session we'll look at the classic wines of Rioja, Sherry, Port and Madeira next to the innovation, diversity and quality on offer from the more modern wines being produced in each country, thinking about food matching as we go with the help of cheese, charcuterie and other Iberian nibbles.

With the international reputation of the wines from these two countries continuing to grow, we believe that there is no better time to explore them, and you will leave this course with a heightened awareness of both the quality traditional and innovative more modern styles being produced in each country.

Spain has undergone a wine revolution over the last twenty years, and is now currently enjoying a glowing renaissance. There are new styles of wine emerging from classic regions such as Rioja, and a huge popularity for wines from unexpected regions such as Valencia, Navarra, Ribiero, Priorat and Rueda.

Portugal has also undergone a huge transformation over the last twenty years. Having earned a reputation for Port and Madeira over many centuries, Portugal is now garnering a glowing reputation for it's best kept secret - delicious quality white and red wines!

Portugal has managed to hang on to many of it's indigenous grape varieties too, adding a uniqueness and sense of identity to wines that are seriously ready and able to compete on the world stage.
